Kidney and heart transplant will soon be launched in Kermanshah

The deputy of treatment of the university stated in a joint meeting with the experts of the transplant management center of the ministry of health: kidney and heart transplant will be soon launched with the cooperation of specialized and subspecialized workforce. Dr. Bahman Roshani added: so far, there have been acceptable developments in this area in the province, and we hope to increase the amount of organ donation in the province in the second half of the year using the existing plans.

He also affirmed: the necessary measures have been taken to launch the liver transplant center, and we hope that the liver transplant process is soon initiated in Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences. During the meeting, the vice chairman of the Iranian Society of Organ Donation visited the organ procurement center of the university, expressing: fortunately, Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences and the deputy of treatment have taken acceptable measures in line with the improvement of the organ procurement center. Dr. Omid Ghobadi expressed his hope that kidney transplant surgeries will be soon launched due to the activities of Dr. Hossein Abdi, a urologist. In this respect, he continued: regarding heart transplant surgeries, heart surgeons will be present in Shahid Rajaei Hospital in Tehran from somewhere around October 23rd, 2019, for transplant specialty training.
