Iran-Iraq earthquake

 

At 21:48 on November 12, 2017, a 7.3 magnitude earthquake struck Iran-Iraq border region. It is recorded as one of the deadliest earthquakes experienced in the region.

Although this shocking natural disaster has left a lot of casualties, damages, destructions and injuries throughout Kermanshah Province and the atmosphere was filled with sorrow and lament, the humanity, kindness and sympathy received from people around the world assuaged the bitterness of this tragic loss. Sympathy, donations, and medical relief from different organizations and NGOs relived the burden of distress and grief for Kermanshah.

Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences, as one of the most involved organizations in the recent earthquake sincerely appreciates all individuals and organizations, both inside and outside the country for their unwavering support and ongoing cooperation. Especial thanks to “Relief International organization and “Humedica International AID” from Germany and “Norwegian Refugee Council” that helped “Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences” and the “Ministry of Health and Medical Education” of Iran by providing medical services to post-earthquake survivals.
