Bone Marrow Transplant Department


This Department is located next to the Kidney Transplant Department on the eastern side of the first floor.

The range of inpatient and outpatient referrals:

Patients with different diagnoses including Hodgkin's and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, different types of leukemia, multiple myeloma, myelofibrosis, etc., refer to this Department. Additionally, patients with other malignancies are hospitalized in this Department to undergo the process of chemotherapy and stem cell treatment.

There are two types of stem cell transplant: autologous and allogeneic. In the autologous procedure, cells are removed from the patient and injected to the same person. While in the allogeneic transplant cells are taken from donors and infused into patients.

In addition to all the major medical equipment, this Department is equipped with a cell collection platform Spectra Optia Apheresis System, platelet shakers, platelet incubator, blood bank refrigerators, plasma and ionizing air purifier, sealer, microscopes, air conditioning system, LP set, BMB set, chemotherapy hood, and scales measuring height and weight.

Scope of Functions:

Cancer patients who are at remission stage undergo a bone marrow transplant.
